Rollout: Tenable's Nessus 3.0

Nessus 3 was recently tested by Network Computing Magazine. They demonstrated how Nessus 3, subscribed to a Direct Feed, can audit the configuration of a remote Windows system using Nessus' compliance checks as well as other useful tools. Please see Tenable's blog for more information. 

InfoSecurity Magazine Names Tenable's Security Center 3.0 a 'Hot Pick'

Brent Huston of Information Security Magazine profiles Tenable's Security Center 3.0 in the July 2006 Issue of Information Security Magazine. "The complete package [Security Center, Nessus, Passive Vulnerability Scanner and Log Correlation Engine], however, will give your organization one of the more comprehensive VM solutions available."

Security Center allows you, among other things, to manage from a single point all the Nessus scanners deployed inside your network.

Nessus Dojo Class at CanSecWest

Renaud Deraison and Nicolas Pouvesle will hold a Nessus dojo at CanSecWest, entitled "Turning Nessus into Metasploit". It will take place on April 3 - 5. The goal of this class is to teach students how to use the modular Nessus architecture to fit their needs, be it to turn Nessus into a massively automated pen-test tool or to massively perform UNIX administration commands via SSH

Nessus 3/NeWT 2.2 Selected as PC Magazine's Best Buy

We are happy to announce the Nessus (and its sibling NeWT) were selected as SC Magazine's Best Buy in the pure scanner category during a recent comparison they made. SC Magazine called Nessus/NeWT an "Excellent well-established product with strong community support.".
